Carve coffee roasters
A Roaster We Trust
We first met Will from Carve when we were doing a bit of a tour of Dorset last September. Based in Swanage, Carve is a firm favourite in the area, and it turned out also the coffee stocked at Maverick races across the UK – who RISE are now a nationwide partner of.
Set up by adventure lovers Will and Sophie, the name Carve comes from the founders' love for the outdoors: carving fresh tracks down a mountain of powder, carving a turn down a wave, and the love of climbing on some of the world's most impressive natural rock faces. That same adventurous, outdoorsy spirit is exactly what we look for in the independent UK roasters we feature in our specialty coffee subscription boxes.
Brazil & Colombia Blend
This coffee is unique to RISE and is a delicious espresso blend that works well with all brew methods. It's medium roasted, with two origins at play – Brazil and Colombia. This blend gives us the chocolatey notes we all love, but with the added twist of ripe fruits and raisin from Colombia.
This coffee has been roasted in a way that brings through the dark chocolate notes when served as a black or white espresso. It will also brew beautifully with a cafetiere or moka pot. When brewed as a filter coffee, you'll taste the plum and fruitier notes.
Coffees like this are exactly why RISE Coffee Box exists. Every month, we blind taste 25-30 coffees from independent specialty coffee roasters across the UK – from adventure-loving names like Carve to standout roasters we've discovered along the way – and choose only the very best to feature in our coffee subscription boxes. If you love discovering new specialty coffee, sustainably sourced and roasted by people who genuinely care about where it comes from, a RISE coffee subscription is the easiest way to explore it all from home.
