Day 8: El Salvador – Advent Calendar Reveal
Origin: El Salvador
Location: Finca San Antonio
Altitude: 1,300 masl
Tasting notes: Caramel, Almonds and Chocolate
Why Alice and Ben love it: Today’s coffee comes from the inspiring Boza Sisters, three women redefining excellence on their farm called 'Finca San Antonio Amatepec' which is nestled in the highlands of El Salvador. With a focus on precision, sustainability, and innovation, the Boza Sisters are producing some of the country’s most exciting specialty coffees.
The Boza Sisters are at the forefront of a growing movement empowering women in coffee -championing transparency, sustainability, and a profound respect for their land and community. Through direct trade partnerships with roasters who actively support women-led farming, they’re building a legacy that stretches far beyond the cup.
Their farm is Rainforest Alliance certified and celebrated for its strong environmental and social principles, from gender equity to community development. Among their rare and exceptional coffee varieties is the striking Maragogype, nicknamed “elephant beans”, for its impressive size and bold, memorable flavour.
This is a story of sisterhood, craftsmanship, and quiet revolution. And today’s brew is a tribute to all three. Sip slowly and savour the journey - from the volcanic slopes of El Salvador to your morning mug.
We hope you adore this deliciously sweet, chocolatey cup!
