Welcome to Day 1 of The RISE coffee countdown calendar - let's dive in!

This coffee was carefully chosen by Ben and Alice after meeting farmers in this area of in Western Uganda in 2023. Since that visit, we’ve set up The Friendly Coffee Fund which donates 1% of all our revenue to support the farmers in this region and their families.

Origin: Uganda

Location: Karambi, Rwenzori Mountains, Western Uganda

Altitude: 1,800-2,200+ meters above sea level

Bean: Arabica

Tasting notes: White chocolate, raspberry and plum

Why Alice and Ben love it: This Ugandan specialty coffee is pretty special to us. We visited the Rwenzori Mountains in 2023 and launched our Friendly Coffee Fund which sees us give back 1% of sales to coffee growing farmers in this region. Our Fund is currently helping children of this area’s coffee farmers by sending them to school. We also support them with books, equipment and community education days - you can read more about our fund here. When we first tasted this coffee we fell in love! It is bold, smooth, delicious and unique. We recommend trying this one black, ideally as a filter coffee, enjoy!

I just received my free trial first box. I'm thrilled to taste these coffees that I received in my first box! And the surprise! Really surprised me, it's exactly what I am allowed to eat! I needed protein, fibre, low sugar, I love cereals, I love chocolate! I love my surprise gift! I’m on my 3rd box already and I’ve not even been subscribed for 2 months yet…that’s how much I love coffee! The coffee I’ve been getting in each box have so far been amazing…although, I’ve not had any free chocolates in any box yet (for whoever said we did) 😂

Bought this for a friend and they LOVED it!
