How to froth milk without a frother

TOP TIPS

Whole milk or Oat milk work best. We have a guide to Oat Milk here

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A jar with a tight lid (or you could use a cocktail shaker.. just an idea!) or

  • French press or

  • Whisk or

  • A simple handheld milk frother - they are fairly cheap

HOW TO MAKE IT

Step 1 - Heat the milk (but don't boil it)

Option 1 - One simple method is to pour the milk into the jar, tightly screw on the lid and shake for 30-60 seconds.

Option 2 - With your french press, simply use the plunger to froth the milk by placing it up and down

Option 3 - Whisking the milk in the pan is another way to get the bubbles going

Option 4 - Finally, with a frother, simply move the frother around until the milk looks foamy
